Today's layout is for The Ink Road and I played with the PinkFresh Studio Felicity collection available in the store.  The collection has a pastel color palette and I stayed minimal on this one.  I am usually doing all my background work with mixed media and since I used the vellum speciality sheet that looks like a nice watercolor wash, I didn't feel the need to add to it.  It was perfect just the way it was.
I started out with punching out hearts from the 6x6 paper pad from the Felicity collection.  I used most of the patterned papers available.  I applied photo corner to the picture of my little Zoe and clustered all the hearts together.
I used an old flair in my stash along with some teal tangled thread.  I love those tiny word phrases from Tim Holtz and add them to many layouts.  My title used the alphas from the Felicity collection as well.
I finished the layout with some gold Heidi Shine and black ink splatters and curbed my impulse to do more.  lol.  Hope you enjoyed, here is my process video.

Low Riders// The Pink Camera

Did you know that I love color and florals?  This layout is exactly that, colorful and with flowers.  I am never afraid to add color to anything.  This is my first layout for The Pink Camera design team.  I am on Love it Friday with a Mixed Media scrapbook layout.  My photo is of my two doxies on a walk and my title is 'Low Riders'.  lol  I thought it was super cute.  The alphas are Fitzgerald in Teal.

I started off with Apollo and Artemis from the Shimelle Star Shine collection for the two die cuts on my Cameo.  I also used these papers to double mat my photo.  I fuzzy cut out the black and white roses from the Roses coloring book paper from Hall Pass from American Crafts.

I used a Crafter Workshop stencils called mini hour glasses with Dazzlers from Shimmerz Paints.  Once that dried I let my heart sing with multi colored watercolor splatters and washes.  I let each layer dry so that little of the colors blended.  The background patterned paper is Scallops from the Hall Pass collection too.  The watercolors is my favorite aspect of this layout.

I layers my mixed media portion on hot pink colored card stock from my stash and then (over) embellished with more goodies from Shimelle and Maggie Holmes.  The 3D paper flowers and washi tape from Maggie Holmes, the chipboard flower stickers and tiny word stickers from Shimelle Star Shine.

I thought about adding color to the rose cut outs but I let them stay black and white for some contrast.  I finished off the layout with some enamel dots from my stash.

Brave Beautiful Happy// The Ink Road

Today's colorful floral layout is for The Ink Road. I started off with this beautiful paper from Illustrated Faith called She Blooms. I cut 3.5 inch strips for my layout. I then used Elated from Fine and Dandy by Dear Lizzy and once inch strips of the gold foiled speciality sheet from the Felicity collection by Pink Fresh.
I then used a floral stencil from Prima along with heavy gel and applied pink loose glitter to it while it was still wet.  I used two die sets from Tim Holts for the scribble circle and the word beautiful.  The phrases Brave and Happy are from the Crate Paper Wonder collection.
I went through and added tiny word stickers from different collection like MAMBI, Kaiser Crafts and Tim Holtz.  I added a few colorful enamel dots from my collection and added the pink crepe paper embellishment from Crate Paper Hello Love collection.
The picture is of me on a near by park bench.  I am re doing my blog and it will be there.  My photographer was Miguel, my fiancé, with my new DSLR camera.  Its been fun taking higher quality photos to scrap with .  Here is my quick process video to see how it came together.

Oliver, Kobe & Zoe// The Ink Road

Today's layout is for The Ink Road.  The store has the new Pink Paislee C'est La Vie collection and I was able to play some fun products.  The patterned papers use numbers and not names, I used number 9, 11 and 4 for my layout.
I added Heidi Swapp metallic texture pastes in gold and pink with some stencils from my stash.  I cut the hexagon shapes from a patterned paper in the collection to give more interest to the layout.  I am scrapping a cute photo of my two doxies along with  my parents dog, Oliver, on Zoe's birthday.  We managed to have them all look our way for a brief moment and captured this picture.
So in honor of all three dogs, the title is all three of their names in a cross word puzzle kind of arrangement.  I worked perfectly using the Pink Paislee Gold Dipped Chipboard alphas.  I went around the letters with a thin sharpie pen to have them stand out more.

I also used the acetate numbers from the ephemera pack from the C'est La Vie collection. I completed the layout with some light journaling on one of the hexagons and matted my photo on pink card stock.  I have my process video below for your viewing pleasure.

I simply love colorful layouts.  I cannot help myself to add as many as possible.  For this layout I started out with a lovely cut file from the Silhouette Design Store.  Its called Roses Papercut lace 12x12 ID #67045 and I cut it on American Crafts white card stock.
My collection of mists are my favorite.  My newest to my collection are from Shimmerz Paints.  I have Sweet Heart and Cotton Candy mists.  I then added more pink with splatter of Fluorescent Pink from Daler and Rowney and I cannot forget my Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold.  All of these mists together, randomly achieved the look seen.  Once it was colored I matted it on a piece of paper that was apple green and it ombre to a bright blue.  I love the contrast of colors and it worked well with the photo I am scrapping.
I have been loving the latest bundle of cut files from Wilna Furstenberg's website.  These were made available in May and it was called May Flowers: A lesson on Grace.  The butterflies are all from Wilna's cut files.  I used hot glue to adhere them on top of simple white flower cut files for some contrast.  I kept the wings slightly bent to give a 3D look to the layout.
I am scrapping a lovely picture of my mom and sister at the Easter Day Parade in NYC this year.    The title "Loveliness" is from Pink Fresh Studio with silver glitter suited this layout perfectly.  I also added large bright pink splatters on top of all the butterflies.  I did my journaling in the back for this layout.  My process video is below:

Hello//The Ink Road

Hello crafty ladies!  My layout today is for The Ink Road.  I am using the Kaiser Crafts My Year, My Story collection.  The collection kit comes with two sheets of each patterned paper along with a 12x12 sticker sheet.  This collection is unique, it seems geared towards pocket page scrapbooking because all the papers are cut aparts.  Each paper is also monochromatic, so naturally I gravitate towards pinks.
I started off with the Rhasberry sheet and up it apart and adhered it towards in the middle.  I added clear gesso to provide some grit to my page for some mists.  I used Shimmerz mists in Cotton Candy and Sweet Heart with the packaging technique.  Once that part dried, I then did some stenciling with Dazzlers texture paste in Pucker up Pink and the Pixelated stencil from Americana.
I allowed all these mediums to dry before continuing on.  I matted my photo of my mom and me backstage with the dancers from Kinky boots.  The doodle like ephemera is also from the My Year, my Story die cut pack.
To add a bit more interest to the layout, I hot glued hot pink ribbon and a sheer pink one vertically to the page.  It simply added more pink and texture to the layout.  I did some light journaling and some India ink splatters to finish the layout.  It came together rather easy when you stick to one color.

Young Wild Free// Kaiser Crafts

Hello crafty friends!  I have had the pleasure to play with new products from Kaiser Crafts because I am applying for their design team.  I submitted my layout you saw early last week.  But I could not just make one with all of these fantastic products, I have made 4.  So here are my honorable mentions.
This layout began using the 'Feathers' stencil on a piece of 12x12 cork.  Its an element featured in the Boho Dreams collection.  I used modeling paste and colored it with Kaiser Mists in Denim and Peach.  While the modeling paste is still wet, I sprinkle teal and opal loose extra fine glitter and set aside to dry.  I did this process twice to have two large feather die cuts for this layout.  I slowly cut each one out.  When I was deciding on a composition, I added an additional feather to the top right corner with mist and glitter again.  I am loving this technique.
I could not decide between two patterned pieces of paper so I used both.  The denim paper is called Free and the coral side is called Young.  I cut the denim one on an off diagonal and covered the seam with clear gesso from Liquidtex.  Gesso primed the paper for more mix media.  I used the Peach Kaiser Mist again and the 'packaging' technique to randomly apply more color.  I also added white splatters with the White Kaiser mist.
I wanted more ephemera elements, so I cut a few tags out from other patterned papers from the collections with some twine from my stash.  My title and tiny word stickers are from the 12x12 sticker sheets from the collection kit.   I finished off the layout with a bicycle wood veneer from Studio Calico.
I have linked my process video below so that you can view my layout come together.
